Entry Level Laborer
KD Electric is looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Laborer. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a long-term career in the electrical industry, with the potential to advance to an Electrician Apprentice and eventually a Journeyman Electrician. As a laborer, you will assist our skilled electricians while learning the trade in a hands-on environment.
Key Requirement: You must obtain your OSHA 10 certification within the first month of employment. KD Electric will assist you with training and guidance to achieve this.
Responsibilities:
– Assist electricians in daily tasks such as carrying materials, setting up job sites, and organizing tools
– Perform manual labor tasks including trenching, conduit installation, and clean-up
– Follow safety protocols and ensure job sites are kept clean and safe
– Support electrical installations and repairs under the direction of KD Electric electricians
– Help transport and organize electrical equipment and tools
– Adhere to company policies and industry standards
– Participate in any on-the-job training as assigned by supervisors
– Complete your OSHA 10 certification in the first 30 days of employment
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Industry standard background check
– No prior experience necessary; willingness to learn is essential
– Strong physical stamina and ability to perform tasks in various conditions
– Basic understanding of safety practices, with a commitment to obtaining OSHA 10 certification
– Reliable transportation to job sites
– Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
– Eagerness to pursue a career in the electrical industry

1. Electrician Apprentice: After gaining initial experience as a laborer and completing OSHA 10, you may be eligible to join KD Electric’s apprenticeship program. Apprentices will receive both hands-on training and formal education in electrical systems. The apprenticeship typically lasts 4-5 years and covers all aspects of electrical work, preparing you to become a certified electrician.
2. Journeyman Electrician: Upon completing the apprenticeship and passing necessary exams, you can become a licensed Journeyman Electrician. In this role, you’ll work independently on electrical installations and repairs, as well as mentor apprentices.
